I'm running for the 23rd Ward because it's my turn to step up to the challenge of representing a diverse community. I have been the beneficiary of a safe, stable environment with great schools and growing businesses. I have worked in the neighborhood, purchased a home, walk my dogs around Tilles, and buy knitting needles at Knitorious. I know how remarkable our neighborhood is and I want to keep it that way.

It's time to give a greater voice to residents. I'm running not because I need a job or a title but because you, my neighbor, my friend, my colleague have asked me to run. I'm beholden to no one except the residents of the 23rd Ward.

I will be the kind of alderwoman that works hard and has an attitude of gratitude.
